The Karnataka Nair Service Society (KNSS) was established on 8th June 1982 as a socio-cultural organization dedicated to social welfare and education. In 2006, Dooravaninagar Karayogam, a founding member of KNSS, established a school in Mannam Nagar to serve the local community, initially offering Kannada medium education from Nursery to fifth standard.
In 2012, the management of the school was formally handed over to the Mannam Memorial Educational and Charitable Trust (MMECT).
Responding to the evolving needs of the region, the Trust took a progressive step in the academic year 2016-17 by introducing English Medium education and upgrading the institution to a High School. This transition ensured that students were better prepared for modern higher education and career opportunities while maintaining strong cultural foundations.
The school follows the Karnataka State Syllabus and celebrated a major milestone in 2019-20 when its first batch of SSLC students successfully graduated. Today, through committed teachers and supportive infrastructure, the institution continues to thrive as a trusted educational center, shaping responsible citizens and future leaders.
The school now functions from two nearby buildings - Pre-primary in one and all others in the second building.
